Quality policy



In 1998 FEMTOLASERS began preparations to introduce a quality management system to create a stable framework for the company’s successive growth and continued high quality work. There are several definitions for the term “quality.” We have decided to choose the following as it best fits our understanding of quality: “Quality is what customers expect”.

Therefore we have made the slogan “QUALITY IS OUR SUCCESS” a guiding motto which accompanies every activity we perform.

FEMTOLASERS’ quality policy is guided by the goal of manufacturing products with inimitable ratings which deliver the greatest benefit to our customers.

An outstanding staff working closely with the management forms a powerful and efficient team aware of their responsibility to the customer.

One of the most important aspects of quality management is documentation and communication (a form of documentation). Permanently updated work- and procedure instructions combined with careful consideration of approved as well as self-developed techniques ensures the steady improvement of product quality. Such tasks are routinely discussed in “quality circles” – meetings with an easily manageable number of coworkers.
“Error report forms” are used to clarify any nonconformity in the operational flow, for documentation, to inform other relevant positions (e.g. other departments) and to enable an analysis of failures providing a base for improvements.
This extremely demanding operational scope requires personnel who have an optimal education and dynamic personality. Continuous internal and external advanced training programs for all coworkers have led to steady breakthroughs to new areas.
