The Ti:Sapphire CPA technology developed in the 1990ies is a key technique for the generation and amplification of ultrashort laser pulses. The advancement of this technology revolutionized the field of molecular dynamics by opening the door to time resolved experiments dealing with time resolution in the femtosecond regime (1 fs = 10-15 s). Ti:Sapphire lasers are now found in most of the world's ultrafast research laboratories. In recent years, Ti:Sapphire lasers with ever increasing average power have been developed and the border in terms of time resolution has been overcome. Attosecond pulses in the soft x-ray regime can be generated by means of Carrier Envelope Phase (CEP) stabilized Ti:Sa systems which can produce few cycle pulses around 800 nm. This marks the beginning of the new era of attophysics.

The unprecedented combination of the RAINBOW™ oscillator with DFG stabilization, seeding the FEMTOPOWER™ compact™ PRO CE-Phase amplifier, pumping the KALEIDSCOPE™ hollow fiber compressor has defined the standard in high quality CEP-stabilized amplified few cycle pulses.

The system has been playing and continues to play an enabling role in attosecond physics, due to its unparalleled quality of its CE-Phase drifts below 100 mrad rms.
